Ingredients:
3 Cups of Flour
3 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. of Salt
1 tbsp. of Sugar (optional)
1 1/2 Cups of Water
2 tbsps. ghee
1/2 cup of Oil (for coating)
Directions:
Step 1: Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Step 2: Add water and mix into soft dough.
Step 3: Knead dough until smooth.
Step 4: Cover with damp cloth and allow to relax for ½ hour.
Step 5: Divide into eight equal balls “loyah”.
Step 6: Roll two of the loyah into circles (4 inch diameter). Spread a little ghee on one of the circles, sprinkle with flour and cover with other circle. Press the edges of both together with finger tips.
Step 7: Do the same with the remaining 6 loyahs .
Step 8: On a floured board roll out one of the rotis to desired size.
Step 9: Heat the tawah, greased with oil and cook roti for ½ minute. Turnover and grease other side of roti.
Step 10: Allow to cook for ½ minute. Turnover and grease.
Step 11: Flip apart and allow steam to escape.
Step 12: Enjoy with Love
