Kheer - Sweet Rice

INGREDIENTS

1 cup of cooked white rice
1 cup sugar
1 can of condensed milk
1 can of evaporated milk
1 teaspoon cardamom (elachi, elychee)
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon ghee

DIRECTIONS

Step 1: Mix 1 cup of evaporated milk, 1 cup of regular whole milk and 1 cup sugar in a container and place in pot under medium to low heat.

Step 2: You should have precooked 1 cup of white rice. Add the precooked white rice into mixture in pot.

Step 3: Stir the mixture until all lumps are gone.

Step 4: Add 1 cup of condensed milk and stir for about 2 minutes

Step 5: Add 1/2 teaspoon ghee

Step 6: Add 1 teaspoon of grated ginger and 1 teaspoon cardamom

Step 7: You must stir constantly to avoid burning and lumps.

Step 8: Cooked to desired thickness (the entire process should be approximately 20 minutes)
